Complete family holiday accommodation with pool and extras
Welcome to
Quintassential where Rosa and Mike offer four delightful cottages in
their old Quinta. Quintassential occupies an acre of hilltop 15
minutes from Faro International Airport and the coast. The property
is south facing and is set in beautiful Algarvian countryside
overlooking the town of Loulé with panoramic sea views and
spectacular gardens.
Parts of the Quinta date back to mid 19th Century and all the
cottages at Quintassential have their own kitchens, private
south-facing sun terraces and Bar-B-Q areas. All cottages has been
newly decorated and furnished to a very high standard.
Try Quintassential for an enjoyable and most comfortable
alternative to the traditional package holiday, but first browse
through our website. If you are new to 'non package' holidays, we
will be pleased to advise and help you make travel arrangements.
The road rises gently from Loulé for about two kilometres before you
turn off on to a steep, unmade track for the last few hundred yards
of your journey. On first arriving, you may be surprised by the
scale of the panorama afforded by Quintassential's lofty setting, as
your eye wanders over the hills down to the distant coast from Faro
to Portimão, a view that is particularly entrancing at night and
truly beautiful during the day.
Loulé is a remarkably authentic country town, with locals
going about their business in the daily covered market. Rosa and
Mike are happy to share their local knowledge with those who seek
advice on some of the fabulous walks in the area, places to visit,
or a personal recommendation of the local eateries. They will
however never infringe on the privacy of those who simply wish to
relax by the lovely swimming pool or read a book on their shaded
terraces overlooking the spectacular gardens. Loulé, one of the
oldest towns in the region is situated 18 km (11 miles) north west
of Faro in the barrocal, the foothills of the Algarve mountains.
Loulé is a busy centre with its colourful and bustling Saturday
morning market, which is famous amongst the locals and
holidaymakers. The market has an excellent selection of fruit and
vegetables, and fresh fish every day. Leatherwear such as bags,
belts and shoes, or embroidered linen and tableware, are also to
found in abundance, so too is pottery. Loulé is a town where
craftsmanship is still very active.
