Private Pool
Monte de
Montanha ~ a beautiful villa in a superb secluded setting
with spectacular panoramic views over the coastline. Situated in the
hills, 20 minutes from Faro, a perfect location for beaches and
countryside alike. The coast and the beaches are only 15 minutes
away. The golf courses are also only 15 minutes away and there is a
choice of 8 of them.
Places of interest
include Vilamoura, with the huge new marina, is best in the evening
when the quayside restaurants throw open their doors. It lies at the
heart of golfing country, of course, but there are also pleasant
beaches, dramatic cliff top walks and all manner of water sports.
The Land’s End-Cape St. Vincent is Europe's most south westerly
point, the "Land's End" of Portugal. The cape is still an
important shipping landmark and the lighthouse (sometimes open to
the public) is visible 50 miles away. An awe-inspiring place, where
you’ll find some lovely windswept beaches and quiet corners.
Serre de Monchique village is in a class of its own. The
village, some would say town, has genuinely retained much of the
“olde worlde” Algarvian charm which has evaporated in too many
others.
Here you will find potters, shoemakers and basket-makers eager to
introduce you to a traditional way of life. If you manage to head
out towards the far western tip of the Algarve you won't be able to
miss Sagres - the most unmistakable landmark is Ponta de
Sagres, the fortress of Henry the Navigator.
Tavira, the town of churches, is the ideal place if you want to escape
the 'modern resorts'. It is probably the most elegant of the
Algarvian towns, often described as the 'Algarvian Rome', and more
fancifully 'the Venice of Algarve', Tavira stands on two hills on
either side of the River Gilao, the two sides of the town linked by
a seven-arched bridge. The old Moorish capital of Silves,
picturesquely silhouetted above the River Arade, with its castle
looming large, dates back to the Romans. The castle is the Algarve's
finest and dominates an old Moorish capital with cool shady streets.
Lagos is a major port and historically one of the region's most
interesting cities. It has style, with its sleek boats, designer
boutiques and paved promenades.

The Villa: is built to the highest standards and there is
a beautiful heated swimming pool and a cosy terrace with barbecue
for dining outside. It has an entrance area with marble stairs to
upper lounge (can be fourth bedroom with sofa beds), offering
panoramic views, fireplace and patio doors to large terrace.
There are 3 bedrooms (all with en-suite marble bathrooms and doors to
terraces). Separate shower. There is a large kitchen with
dining and family area, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and wood burning
stove, and a utility room with automatic washing machine and large
extra fridge.
The dining area overlooks the lower level lounge, which has a
wood burning stove, panoramic views and patio doors to terrace and
barbecue with steps leading down to the poolside. Satellite TV,
marble floors throughout, downstairs cloakroom.
Outside, there is a large swimming pool with heating if required,
barbecue, sun terraces, garage.
