Courtyard
Irish Holiday Cottages, Tralee Bay, County Kerry.
6 Purpose Built Cottages, 1 & 2 Bedrooms, Sleeping from 2 to 5.
I.T.B. 4 Star Approved, Tennis Court & Sauna.
Nestling
beneath the Slieve Mish Mountains, on the edge of Tralee Bay in
County Kerry, these properties are just 3km outside the county town
of Tralee, and convenient to both the Dingle Peninsula and the Lakes
of Killarney. Blennerville is a rural farming area and in the
fields adjoining the Courtyard, cows and sheep graze peacefully on
our lush green grass. We provide free donkey and pony rides on our
own animals, and have been designated a "Kids Zone" by
Shannon Development. Our outdoor facilities include a barbecue area
where you can enjoy the delights of outdoor dining, adjacent to a
double tennis court with basketball area, and outdoor children's'
playground. A sauna is being built indoors to complete our range of
facilities for all the family, whatever the weather.
To the west you have
the renowned Dingle peninsula, and to the south, the memorable Ring
of Kerry. Killarney's beautiful lakes and glens lie to our East, and
the northerly coastal drive to Limerick is spectacular, passing
through Ballybunion with its golf course where President Clinton
played in 1998. The area has plenty to offer visitors,
including Blennerville Windmill, Ireland's only working windmill
which houses a museum, coffee shop, craft center and interactive
displays. The Jeanie Johnston, the full-size replica of a 19th
century emigrant ship has been built here by shipwrights and young
people from all over the world; the Aquadome, offering a splashing
time for all the family, Ireland's largest indoor water park, with
wave machines and waterslides, also health centre, Jacuzzi and
coffee shop, and outside, try the mini golf. The Geraldine Medieval
Experience is a fascinating look at medieval Tralee, featuring an
interactive historical experience in the "time car". Also
in the building is an extensive museum of ancient Celtic artifacts
and a souvenir and coffee shop. Or visit the Siamsa Tire, for
traditional Irish music and dancing, or why not come for the annual
Rose of Tralee festival, with free concerts and the Rose Selection
which is televised and web-cast world-wide. These are just a few of
the many things on offer in this beautiful region.

The Cottages:
are set within a beautifully restored courtyard dating back to
1832, originally the stable yard for the coach house and horses. Each
cottage has been decorated on a different imaginative theme,
containing all modern conveniences, and has been individually
designed with antique furniture and wooden floors. Downstairs
the comfortable sitting room with open fireplace adjoins the spacious
kitchen with every modern convenience, including gold shield (economy
7) heating, open fireplace, cooker and microwave, washer/dryer,
dishwasher, TV/video player. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, one en-suite, and
a separate bathroom. The cosy 1-bedroom cottage sleeps 1 or 2,
and is decorated in similar unique but traditional Irish style.
